The Rebels gremlin team had a great game beating the Temple City Rams 20-0. Our boys stepped it on both sides of the ball. We look forward to building on this victory as we host the Arcadia Apaches next
Sat. in our Homecoming Game. The Offense did a great job moving the ball and our Defense did a great job shutting
down the Ram offense.
Last Game Update - JG Bowl: vs. West
Covina Bruins - Nov 10
The JPW team capped off a tremendous run with a dominant performance against the West Covina Bruins with a final score of 26-0. We extended our undefeated streak to six games. The defense led the way with two scores. Eddie Bueno started the scoring with a fumble takeaway and 50 yard plus runback. Later in the game Zach Estrada had an interception return for a TD. The defense showed its a dominance by holding the Bruins scoreless in two drives inside the twenty. It was our sixth shutout of the season. This year we enjoyed "HOME COOKING" by only allowing ONE TD at home this season.
Offensively I was fortunate enough to witness one of the best runs ever; Alec
Zavala had a 94 yard TD run, but he had to have run at least 108 yards to do it!
It was amazing, shot out to him and the O-line!!!! Alec capped off the day by retuning a punt for his 2nd TD of the day.
I'm very proud of my boys, all year We've told them that they are Champions, and today they showed that they are!
Once again
the rebels played a close game we came out strong and scored on our
opening drive with a 12 yard td by Ezequiel Jimenez to go up 6-0 in the
first quarter. The Indians scored on a 40 yard pass to bring the score
to 6-6. A few break downs in defense allowed the Indians to score on
another pass to go up 12-6 and with the extra point they went up 13-6.
The Rebels did not get discouraged on there next possession the Rebels
scored on a 40 yard run by Jimenez once more breaking tackles to get to
the score 13-12 in favor of the Indians. The Rebels have two ties this
year so coach Steve decided to go for the win. A little confusion
by the PAT team and the snap was hurried and the kick missed. We
had our chances to win the game but we came up short we just need to go
on to next week and play hard once more.
